Regular doggy daycare benefits

Socialisation

Socialisation is essential for dogs as it helps prevent behavioural issues and promotes good doggy etiquette. Dogs in daycare learn to interact safely and politely.

Exercise

Lack of proper exercise can lead to excessive barking and behavioural issues. A regular doggy daycare session will give your dog the exercise they need to thrive.

Mental Stimulation

A bored dog is an unhappy dog; and unhappiness can lead to undesirable behaviours. We can help keep your dog’s brain stay stimulated and happy.

Complete peace of mind

Doggy daycare provides owners with the peace of mind that their dogs are being well taken care of while they are at work or out for the day.

Routine

Dogs thrive on routine. A regular schedule for meals, exercise, playtime, and rest helps them to feel more secure and less stressed

Safety

The dogs in our care are monitored constantly and are never left alone, we treat them as though they were our own…. which they sort of are!

What makes our dog daycare in Stoke-on-Trent special?

Spacious, secure paddocks

Our facility features ample, fully enclosed paddocks where dogs are free to move, explore, and play. Safety is our priority: fences, double-gated zones, and secure access give peace of mind as your dog enjoys off-lead time.

Social play under supervision

Dogs are social creatures. Where suitable, we facilitate monitored play sessions in small, compatible groups so that your dog can build confidence, engage with others, and burn off energy. Our trained staff oversee every interaction to ensure every dog is comfortable and safe.

Enrichment and variety

We believe enrichment keeps dogs happy. In addition to play and social time, we provide supervised walks in our secure dog fields, agility or obstacle sessions, and quiet rest areas for dogs who prefer calmer moments. This blend of activity and downtime optimises both mental and physical wellbeing.

Experienced, caring team

Our staff are passionate about dogs and well-trained in animal behaviour, first aid, and welfare. We foster a caring environment where every dog is treated as an individual, whether they’re confident and outgoing or more reserved.

Daily routine designed for comfort

Dogs arriving in the morning enjoy a gentle warm-up, social play, lunch/rest in comfortable zones, followed by further exercise and interaction before collection. This structured routine ensures they remain happy, balanced, and get the exercise and stimulation they need.

Daycare FAQ’s

Do I have to book, or can I just turn up on the day?
For the safety of our doggy friends and the staff, all dogs are required to be approved via the induction process (see our “induction” section) and then are required to book over the phone/email. Please where possible allow 48 hours for bookings to be processed.
What happens should I need to cancel our booking?
Due to limited availability all bookings are non-refundable, so please ensure when booking you are certain in your need for care. For more information please see our terms and conditions.
I've never seen a doggy day care centre, can I visit first?
Of course! If you wish to look around before committing to join us, just fill out the induction request form to book your dogs induction with us, or send us an email and we will set up a date for you to visit with a member of our staff.
What do you do in extreme weathers?
So when it’s really hot, we make sure there are lots of drinking stations with water, have watery games to keep cool and we have shady sheds dotted around outside if dogs don’t want to go into the main building, which has fans. In Winter months we have our undercover day care barn so dogs can do all their usual business but not get muddy or wet. In Winter we also have heaters and heat pads for extra snuggly warmth, and lots of cuddles of course!
Do you only accept certain breeds?
No, here at Doggy Cool we accept all breeds, shapes and sizes as long as your dog has passed the induction process and gets along with the group, all welcome!
Can puppies attend Day care?
Yes, they are welcome to attend from 12 weeks old. Their days are structured to balance play and rest time because the puppies are still developing but they will benefit greatly from the socialisation and training exercises. All puppies will under go a tailored induction process.
Will my dog be supervised at all times?
Yes. Your dog will be under constant supervision by our team of experienced carers and will NEVER be left unattended.
What happens in an emergency?
First we will assess the situation and call you to discuss. If we can’t get hold of you and urgent medical attention is required, we will take your dog to your nominated veterinary practice or, depending on the circumstance, the nearest veterinary practice.
What should I bring with my dog for their first day?
The only thing we require is their food, if they would normally be fed at lunchtime. All food must be provided in a sealed tupperware box with their name clearly displayed.
What if my dog doesn’t want to play all of the time?
Rest and relaxation is a crucial part of a dog’s day and it’s no different at doggy daycare. At regular intervals, the dogs are able to snooze comfortably in our indoor area where they can relax on the raised dog beds or recharge in one of our “cool spots”. Outside, the dogs also enjoy chilling on our large training platform watching all the goings on or finding a playhouse to curl up in (often with a furry friend!).
